Isn’t She Dandy

We have long known that his favorite button up dress shirts look better on us than they do on him, not to mention there is something so undeniable sexy about a lady wearing her man’s dress shirt.  It is for these reasons that we can immediately justify purchasing the Isabella shirtdress.  This silk twill shirtdress has just the perfect combination of soft feminine details.  With pleated cuffs and a belted waist, our shirtdress gives the perfect twist to a men’s inspired button up.  This no frills approach to business chic is perfect for the office. The Isabella shirt dress can be paired with our Magdalena skinny pant, Natalia Vest and a chunky heeled oxford for a sexy and chic look to wear at the office or a night out.

Update your Holiday Look this season!

The holidays are here and it seems the parties are endless.  Reuniting with friends and family is exciting, but trying to find outfits for every occasion can take a toll on your wallet.  When you have classic items in your closet, there is no reason to have to buy a new outfit for every event.  Truly classic items can be worn anywhere and have the ability to be “dressed up” for social occasions or “dressed down” for more casual events.

Everyone should have a few of he basics in their closets including: Talia dress (double knit dress with pin tucked waist), Christa blouse (crinkled silk blouse with tie collar),  Keira pant( high-waisted, wide leg pants).  For the holidays focus on incorporating trendy items with classic pieces to make your wardrobe appear fresh and updated.

Holiday Look #1

The Talia dress paired with a sheer patterned tight, peep toe stilettos and a jeweled statement necklace to add a touch of sparkle to your holiday look.

Holiday Look #2

A retro chic look with a twist! Pair a tailored trouser (Keira Pant) and a feminine flirty blouse (Christa blouse).  Add a bling cocktail ring, ruffled clutch of choice and complete this look with a pair of glossy patent pumps.

*Add an oversized or multi strand pearl necklace to give this look a more conservative feel.

Note: how can they incorporate pieces from their own wardrobe mixed w/ EK?

A Day in the Life of Eva Khurshid

Hey EK fans-

Sorry for the delay in keeping you up to date on our activities, but we have been busy, busy, busy with our fall 2009 collection in production, launching a new website and e-commerce, and putting spring 2010 into development.

Everything that is created by Eva Khurshid is manufactured and produced in New York City. Every garment is checked by a person of the EK team to ensure that all garments are in good condition free of loose threads, tears, and stains. We stress this point because not only does it give the customer a better quality garment, but it also gives the designers the ability to have a very hands on approach in the production process. Unlike brands that produce overseas, Eva Khurshid is able to follow the garment closely through every stage of development and production.

Also, our new website will be relaunching soon, and we believe that it has the modern, clean feel that we strive to give our customer. On the website, you can find store listings, (Note: The fall 2009 collection will be available in seven stores nationwide) our lifestyle blog, the latest press about our brand, a mailing list, and most importantly, our e-commerce.

Eva Khurshid will be launching its e-commerce very shortly, where customers can purchase our fall 2009 collection. Exclusive styles that are not found in stores will be available on our e-commerce site, as well as looks of the month. These looks of the month will be the designers favorite pieces that give the customer an idea of how to combine garments in the collection.

Finally, in the mix of everything, we are currently in the development phase of spring 2010. Bolts of fabric are coming in left and right as our spring collection is much larger than our debut collection this fall. We have had our fitting and alterations, and the samples are currently being made at our factories for spring designs that will later be housed at our showroom, Showroom New York. Soon, we will have sample photos up on our site to give you an idea of our spring 2010 concept.

Until next time, peace be with you EK fans!
